FAQ

  • I work with folks who prefer to come to sessions as frequently as once a week, bi-weekly, or monthly. I will work with you on establishing what your goals are for therapy and how you want to use the space. I am here to support you at your pace and process to meet your needs.

Individual sessions last 50-60 minutes and Relationship (couples) sessions last 80-90 minutes.

  • Cash or Credit Card are accepted forms of payment. Payment is due at the time of service, to be paid by the end of the session. I accept all major credit cards, and payments are processed through Ivy Pay, a HIPAA-compliant payment processor that stores your card information securely on file.

  • These rates may change depending on how long we will work together. That being said, you will be given three months prior notice before the new payment rate.

  • Also accepted, HSA/FSA accounts. I can potentially provide a superbill for insurance reimbursement. I do not guarantee that you will receive reimbursement through insurance and is up to you to double check your out of network provider coverage. That being said, I do not accept any insurance and am considered out of pocket pay.

  • I offer both in person and virtual sessions. If you are interested in meeting in person please ask about current COVID-19 precautions and guidelines.

  • I ask for at MINIMUM at 24 hour cancelation notice. If given within that 24 hour period, a full payment for the session hour is still required.

  • You have the right to receive a ā€œGood Faith Estimateā€ explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law (Effective Jan 1st, 2022), health care providers need to give patients who donā€™t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services if requested by individual seeking services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.

  • After the decision is made to work together, I will send you all necessary paperwork prior to our first session. All of my paperwork is electronic and is to be completed through Simple Practice, an online practice management software.

  • You will receive a link to join the session through Simple Practice, my online practice management software (sounding familiar? You will already have a client portal because of filling out paperwork). This platform is HIPPA compliant and secure, making the virtual space safer for us to meet. If you are joining on a phone or tablet, you will need to download their ā€œtelehealthā€ app. If you are joining on a desktop, chrome or firefox tend to be the most efficient browsers.

  • Thankfully we are able now meet in a virtual space - whether over the phone or over the computer. That being said, there are a few considerations to make when deciding this modality.

Can you have a complete confidential space - no one around or in proximity to overhear, limited distractions, and comfortable space to talk in?

How is your internet speed? Can your internet support a live feed?

How reliable is your device - whether meeting on phone, tablet, or computer?

  • I typically offer availability on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays - with the limited option of some time on Mondays depending on the week. I am in office and able to meet in person on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Each day can fluctuate in terms of time of availability, and I usually meet in between 9am-6pm on those days.

  • I am currently ONLY licensed with the state of Colorado and am certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. While I do offer tele-health services I am bound by the law of the state that the client resides permanently in. I am legally only allowed to work with individuals and couples who primary or permanent residence is in the state of Colorado. I realize there can be some gray areas to this question, so please donā€™t hesitate to reach out and ask!

  • You bet! I have worked with folks in all different relational styles - consensual/ethical non-monogamy, open, and poly relationships. During our work I support folks in deepening communication skills, jealousy management, boundaries, attachment, and deepening intimacy.
